Not sure if this has been answered before.. UOKR and dual core

When i'm running UO:KR on my computer, it runs too fast. the character runs like a lightning, then stops, runs, stops, runs, stops. Like with bad lag actually. I've managed to run it a few times by changing the processor affinity and shutting off one CPU core, but then my character freezes in place.
I can turn, press things, move items, but I can't move my character.

ANyone having the same problem and/or an idea to fix?

Since I don't have a dual core. Not sure I can be of much help. One question that did come to mind. Does your graphic card have the latest drives and is it capable of keeping up with your movements?

Yeah, I have the latest drivers installed. Running a Geforce 7900 GTX graphics card, 2 MB dual rams and a 4400 AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor.

Funny thing is, after installing I tried updating all drivers, and then it ran fine. A few weeks later it just randomly started again, so Can't quite figure out what's causing the problem

I have no problems with the AMD X2 4200+ (also 2GB of RAM and the GeForce 7950+ 512MB video card).

I haven't had any problems so far. Just started playing on a new computer this weekend though.

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2806.2 Mhz

For those with AMD Dual core i advise you to install the AMD Dual Core Optimizer.

It helped me and a few friends !

You can also going into Windows Task Manager, and set KR to run on one CPU rather than two... and that should clear up some of those issues.
