ninja templates...

Ive been hashing over the idea of creating a ninja.. mostly for pvm playing around and such... but i have no idea what a good template would look like. I wasn't around for the whole SE launch so im not sure what the whole deal is...

Also, ive almost always played a mage... and my few jaunts in to the melee fighters have been less than successful.. so any tips anyone could give would be great

thanks.

Re: ninja templates...

I was thinking Archer as well but when i tried to use focus attack with a bow it said that i need a melee wep.. so im not sure how those skills work

the problem i see with the templates is that no matter what i seem to be sacrificing somthing... be it healing and ana or resist and the ability to recall...

Re: ninja templates...

Ninja is fun but is very, very hard to PvM on a true Ninja template. Ninja's are typically mutted in to other templates.. eg. my 115 is squeezed in to a true assassin template.

Hide
Stealth
Poison
Fencing
Ninja
Mage
Tracking

The only thing I use Ninja for is throwing shuris, smokebombs, wolf form (for escaping) and Death Strike. Deathstrike requires you track a target for a certain number of tiles to be worthwhile though.. hardly possible in a heavy spawn. I can take out Ogre Lords on this template and any non-magical monsters by sneaking up and poisoning them then shadow strike or smoke bomb away til they die of the LP. Slow going compared to say a Paladin. On my paladin I can mow through Ogre Lords just as fast as they spawn.
