![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Next Expansion I don't know which category I would like to see most, or if my thoughts fit both categories, but what I would like to see is a bit of chaos. I'm a Trammie, I admit, but too many people are too comfortable and too complacent in my opinion. The fact that scripters (thats another issue for another day) can set up a rail and leave it run for hours on end without any fear of something new coming along and bashing their puny brains shows me the monster base is just too stagnant. I realize the game relies on spawn points and such, but let the monsters (nay, ENCOURAGE them to) roam further from their homes. Get rid of guard whacking of mobs in towns. Make the players repel any invasion by wandering mobs. In fact, give orcs, ettins, trolls, and such a bit of ambition, and allow them to form raiding parties of their own to march on cities. Trammel is just too.... peaceful. The wilds are the wilds (more or less, I suppose). But the cities are just plain boring. When I ride into a city, on any given day (not just during a pre-planned "invasion",) I want to see something going on. I realize going to Fel would satisfy this craving for me, but I am not made of money, and, as we all know, like it or not, character survival in Fel is largely based on what items you have. Bring some of the adventure back to Trammel. Rock the boat, so-to-speak, and make players pay attention. Mindless clicking creates zombies, not enthralled players. Bring the zombies out of their catatonic states, and re-introduce them to what it means to carry a sword. Just my two shillings.... ![]() ![]() Lord L'arr Hamerfeld |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Next Expansion Id rather have advancement added to existing aspects of the game. Because there is still so much that I am learning and exploring and Im sure there are many others who are still exploring and with new lands and new things sometimes its overwhelming. But more then that I think as stated that there is so much that can be done with the places and items we have in game already ;D |

![]() | Re: Next Expansion I have lots of ideas for this thread, but time will only allow me to post this really quickly... Above all else, I'm against new land 100%. The current population is too spread out as it is. Should new land come about, I would seriously consider shutting down 10% of the shards and offer free transfers from those shards. Only people coming from another shard could place on the new lands for some set period of time. But ideally, the new expansion would provide more player interaction, community, and reason to be friends with other folks. It has been one of THE strongest aspects of this game for years and years... but the more people rely on items and uber skills, the less they need each other... and the less they play this game. |

I would have to mouse over for a minute until I found an elbow or fingertip that registered that the spot on the floor was a corpse. |

Cut down on the BOD waiting period so I can get rid of the 0.1 in tailoring and blacksmithing from my other characters. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Next Expansion Ah! But no one said they couldn't be gargoyle Pirates!. Seriously, I concur: no new lands, add more peerless instance-type stuff, but also include some mid-level solo content for those times when people simply can't find/don't want a group. And less clicking, more commodity deeds, and allow commodity deeds to be redeemed at collections. ~M |
