Hello, I am going to return to UO this weekend after many years of not playing. With all the new changes, I think I want to start over with new characters.

I have had trouble finding any information about when shards were created, so what is the newest shard out right now?

As another option any suggestions on a shard to start on?

Newest shard is Origin (I'm almost positive anyways, someone correct me if I'm wrong)
As for suggestions for what shard to play that really depends on what you are looking for... do you want a really populated busy shard or would you like a less populated quieter shard?

One with enough people where you are not going to constantly be running around dungeons and never seeing another person.

But that still has places to put houses (not sure if that is a problem anymore).

Umm I'm pretty sure there are spots on all shards to put a house, just depends on if you mind starting with a small one.
I'm personally on Catskills which is a pretty populated shard but I find house spots frequently and some decent sized too. Origin, last I was on there was very populated so you might check that one out.

My suggestion would be to make chars on different shards and run around, sit at the banks, talk to people and get a feel for which one you might want to call home.
