![]() | Re: New player questions? Hello Zero and welcome to Ultima Online...I will do my best to answer your questions... 1. Does this game have alot of depth like people say? Yes it does. In this game you can be damn near anything you want. If you want to be a crafter and do nothing but mine all day or chop trees then you can. If you want to be a warrior princess, evil necromancer, mighty mage or a combination of any of these then feel free to go for it. It is all a matter of working with the skill points alotted and the available gear of course. You best bet for more help on this would be to log in and find someone willing to help you. I play on the Sonoma Shard (servers are called shards in this game. Watch the intro movie and you will see why) and would recommend you look up either Queen Mum or Love Spirit. They are both wonderful woman who love to help others. 2. Is this game really gunna be dead within the nect 6-12 months like i heard? Umm, short answer....NO!....Don't listen to the naysayers...This game has been around for over ten years and isn't going anywhere anytime soon! 3.Is the game pretty soloable? Yes it is...With the right skills and gear you can do just about anything in the game solo....You only need the desire to figure out how! 4.Is the community nice? I can only speak for the Sonoma shard and I say we have a great community....As with any group of people whether they are in a game or in real life, you will have your jerks and those that want to make others miserable....But all in all I would say we have an awesome community of truly wonderful people! 5. Whats a good server for me i live in EST time zone? As I said before, I play on the Sonoma shard which is actually based in Sonoma California but I never have a problem finding people to play with...I am in the Central time zone... 6. Are there alot of weapons/Armor/ect... Yes, there are tons of weapons, artifact armor, artifact weapons, craftable armor and of course TONS of other useful items in the game...Of course you can get a house and either customize it yourself or have someone you trust decorate and design it for you...This game is truly unlimited in my opinion... 7.So how does training your skills work you just keep using them and they increase? Short answer : YES! Alot of the work in character development is figuring out what you want to be and then working those skills to create a workable template...More help can be given ingame... I hope you enjoy your time in Ultima Online and as before, I would recommend the Sonoma shard myself...Not too crowded but still enough people to make friends! Hope to see you in game!
