New player.....

Hi guys i just wanted to ask a few questions about ultima online.
Well im thinking about joining it, and just wanted to know what is a well populated shard that i can join?? Is the game hard to get used to??

And should i download KR??

Depends on where you are playing from.

For example europa has many people but most of the players there are from europe so if you are playing from the states, there is a big time difference so there are not that many people around when you would log in.

As far as downloading kr? Well there are still many problems with the new client. EAMythic is trying to fix it. So personally I would find it hard to judge if you enjoy the game with a client that is not completed.

I would suggest that you try 2D first. If you like the underlying game overall, the skills, crafting, pvm, pvp, and all the other game functions.

Then go ahead and download the new graphics client.

Kingtony I think you copied to the wrong thread

A well populated shard would be atlantic. Lake Superior should give you a good ping. If you pick LS let me know. I can help get you started there

I've chosen lake superior im going to buy the game today so ill be on around 7pm or 8pm eastern time thanks for all the help you guys i appreciate it.

There will be a community hunt at 9:00 PM EDT. It starts in Skara Brae. It will be a tough dungeon for a new character BUT it will be a good place to meet people. I plan on being there

Welcome to UOF! I play on Chessy, but thinking about moving my characters back to Great Lakes where I started (but that was with a different account). Chessy is a very QUIET shard!
