![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: New & with many questions Hey, I just started a warrior from scratch, and in less than a month I've become a pretty capable fighter. I have to say the UO:Forums has made it all possible. Everyone is super friendly and more than willing to help. Skill gains are a lot faster than I previously remembered, so gaining while fighting is a viable option. I made enough money to buy a house while training up by fighting solen infiltrators outside wind once my fencing and tactics were up around 70 and it's a great place to go as an aspiring warrior. The deathwatch beetles was where I started, then moved to solen's, then moved to cyclops warriors in despise, then cyclops and titans, and now with a ton of help from everyone I'm fighting Swoops and collecting some nice items. ![]() |

![]() | Re: New & with many questions Being a warrior is great! Although as being a new player I would recommend trying a wrestle/mage. Magery you can gain by sitting in town/house or anywhere and casting BENIFICIAL spells on yourself...you cast harmful ones and your armor will break. Find armor that has Lower reg cost on it. As soon as you have 100% lower reagent cost, you are set. With magery you can get spell damage stuff that will assist in killing monsters quicker. With your lower reagent cost suit you can also cast necromancy spells or chivalry spells for free. Necromancy is very strong against NPC's. train wrestling to 50-70 and then get + wrestling jewelry to get to the level 70 skill. Then, purchase a golem and a fishing pole (fishing pole uses wrestling and does no damage to the golem). You will need to be in a guild and I am sure once you do that someone will assist you on the method of training a fighting skill on a golem. If you are set on being a warrior, find a 100% poison damage weapon (swords) and wack away at a golem past 70 skill. This will bring you to 100 cap allowing you to purchase or enter a spawning dungeon to retrieve your own scrolls that will effectively raise that cap. Dont forget to insure your good armor/weapons so that when you die gold is taken from your bank instead of those nice items you have found. You said you were on a pvp server on daoc and I am assuming on WOW as well? This to me tells me that you want to be a necro/mage. Get swords of prosperity or staff of the magi as one of your first major items to add to your collection. Get out of trammel and research spawning dungeons. As a necro/mage (necro/peacer being the best). You can do spawns solo allowing you to gain 105,110,115,120 power scrolls (they raise a skill cap ex: swords). 120s sell form 1 million gold to 22million for a magery scroll. Getting a couple 120 fighting skill scrolls will give you an easy 20 million after selling them. Allowing you to purchase better armor/items off of other players. I recommend this method of play instead of the carebear approach due to the fact that most the fun in UO is experienced with a character that has decent gear and skills. Go fight and have fun! When you feel like watching some tv...put your character on a golem and pay attention to your character while he gains and minimizes your effort. After around 80 fighting skill you will want to quit uo. Get a golem at that point and you will kick yourself for not doing it since 70. I am sure some people might disagree with my philosophy of how to get into UO. But as a person who has played MMORPG's you probably arn't in it to messing around, or waisting time. I am sure you want to get to the pvp and the end game experience quickly. Scrolls are the easiest and fastest way to gain money in the game (items are the game in UO)...that or tailoring or an awesome trade empire. You have a lot to choose from...good luck and if you have any questions you can PM and ill give you my icq/aim for any questions you might have. ![]() To truly understand something, change it. |

![]() | Re: New & with many questions Wow thanks for all the info. What I did was bought an advanced character (warrior/swordsman) mainly for the reason you said. I wanna see end game and do some pvp and have some fun and screw around see the dungeons and get the good items. So what would u recommend i do now that my stats are 85 Swordsmanship or Fencing or Mace Fighting or Archery 85 Tactics 85 Anatomy 70 Healing 70 Resist Spells 110 Strength, 80 Dexterity, 25 Intelligence Also what should i keep unlocked and start lvling i posted about that in another thread. Which you can reply to there if you want. Also like i said before where would i go kick it at or lvl now with those stats. |
