I came up with this idea awhile ago and it is only complimented by EA making the aquarium. Before I left UO I thought the plants were such a good idea that I had an idea for a house decoration that involved pets. my idea was a butterfly/fairy garden. I figure a glass box with flowers at the bottom. You would then buy a net from an npc which would work like a fishing pole . You then would go out into the world and use the pole to catch animals for your enclosed garden. I thought butterflies, pixies, fairys, birds you name it.

Since the aquariums came out I gave this a little more thought as I liked the plant system and the rewards you got IE: thorns, red and orange petals and such. Maby the butterfly garded like the aquarium would spawn special items if it were taken care of. Instead of netting aquarium fish depending on your fishing skill, make the flying animals for your garden be in common areas and rare animals in hard to reach areas. The more different animals you had the more items you could get. Also it would be a great house decoration if it were animated. Think of a large glass terrarium looking thing with plants and flying things inside. This is only an idea and will probably piss off the classic UO people.

Actually, being able to catch a butterfly for my gargen would be great! It would beat out a parrot imo.

I think it an animated butterfly would be really neat! It would sure beat having tons of the origami butterflies locked down.
