New to Forums

I found these forums through a google search of ultima online. I have often thought of returning to Britannia (is it still called that?), but know that many things have changed. I did attempt to fall in love with the game again several months ago, however it was sooo frustrating trying to compete with gear that now runs in the multi-millions of gold for a pair of chain leggings! There have been so many changes since I played, where do you start, how do you begin, what the game needs is a new server for players like me.

All the servers have people willing to help new players! Just takes a little elbow grease and some luck to find them.

What shard are you trying? If its Cats, Id be more than willing to help. Pm me here (by clicking my user name at the left and selecting "Send User a PM") and we can set something up!

As far as starting, make a char, take the tour, and then complete any beginning quests you might get, and then go out and explore and talk to people!

Welcome to the forums, and back to UO. Yeah, so much has changed it is like a new game. Even the old school vets are confused when they come back. I just started back about 8 months or so ago, and I am still somewhat confused. So, I just ignore the confusing parts, and play away! lol

Welcome.

The most difficult part of the game is the interface, which since you've played before, you should have no problems.

As far as getting back into the game it shouldn't be all too hard. Yes, stuff is over-priced, but it's 100 times easier to get gold now (from what I've read, I started 2 years ago and have gotten myself millions in little actual game time) so don't let prices keep you away.

Yes PvP has more or less become IvI (item vs item) but you can still get by with Good PvP skills with little IvI .

Welcome to UOForums! And welcome back. The game has changed a lot so don't compare it to a few years ago. Take your time before you make a decision and remember the Kingdom is being Reborn sometime in 2007.
So it's a good time to come back and check out the game.
