Terrance I was just wondering how much you had actually been involved in the Inu plot?

The shard I play on has been working through it for some months now,solving riddles,etc,and fathoming new areas throughout.

I think there is still a way to go with this plot as we were told there would be a 'year long cycle of events'

What is the EM on Napa doing regards this scenario ?
Have you not had an invasion also ,resulting from current plotline?

If you havent then I would be asking the EM some serios questions.

Dont be too sure the new client IS going to be 3d.I have posted some comments on another thread on UOForums,regarding i the client from Stratic posters.I will keep the UOForums thread updated,as its just awaiting a developer to reply

Where do people get the idea this is a 3d client?

The screenshots are clearly 2d. Although the characters look like they could possibly be 3d, the world certainly is not. And if those characters are 3d, they are far too high poly to not give users with a older PC a 2d option.

The official UO client has never, and I think will never be 3d. It is not something the current UO dev team would be capable of pulling off, even if everyone wanted it. I think the main reason people hated the "3d" client was that it was a terrible half 3d, half 2d hybrid, with a nasty interface and lacked polish.

The landscape and building graphics in this one do look better, but the character graphics look almost as bad as what we have been getting in the last few expansions. But it is looking better than I was expecting.

Anyway, as people have said, the main thing that matters for UO is the gameplay. And the gameplay on the official UO servers has been in ruins for years.

Well, 2d, 3d, whatever. It's a dimensional looking top down view. UO needs to remain a top down oriented game. It always has been; it's they way players are used to viewing the world.

From the pieces we've been show, this looks great! And why do I hate the old "3d" client?--it is, in a word, ugly. Besides 3d clients in other games that run from the character's point of view give me a slight case of motion sickness.

So.. Yeah!!! I like the new look, whatever term you use to describe it.

It's a new client forced on me which will replace the original 2D client I enjoy. I don't care if it's "technically 2D" or "technically 3D" or this or that. I did not ask for an entirely new game and it's not what I want.

The people who have played UO all this time but instead wanted to be playing something else (meaning all the people crying for a "graphics upgrade") just got their wish at the expense of everyone else. And like I previously stated, I'm sure this will give the "Ultima Online" listing on the MMORPG chart a huge 6 month boost, even though it's an entirely different game. Now if all the people who should have been playing EQ2 or Lineage will just embrace this huge gift bestowed upon them and not start arguing about what it technically is or isn't, they might all be happy.

In the meantime, I'm sure original 2D UO will live on somewhere.

Don't get too excited about this new client just yet. Past experience has taught me that UO's attempt at 3D have proven floppy (both with lousy graphics and even worse gameplay). Everyone talks about how terrible UO3D looks now, but it's not impossible to make some good-looking screenshots with it. I'm skeptical, but then again, I prefer 2D.

i like the look of thenm, i just hope they arnt that laggy, thats how i think uo in 3d should look, if they are too laggy for me on my shard i would possibly change to a less alggy oen.. if not hopefully they will keep a 2d version *crosses fingers*

This forum is starting to sound like "that other forum". grrr.... Let's give this a chance, see what happens, right now, it looks good to me and I applaud the efforts of the devs. Positive reinforcement goes a long way.

Ive been thinking about dusting off my acct for a few weeks now...maybe this will get me to do just that...

I like this alot it still has the feel of the UO I have come to know and love but a much better look. It will finally get me to give up my 2d client(which I only keep because the current 3d stinks!!)

I still love 2D although this would be a great 3D client.... now if it played as good or better than 2D...

but... lets see that paperdoll!
