Hmmm...well I guess some of the available NPC dialogue/phrases would be useless but fun facts.

A friend of mine attacked a wandering healer, which shouted "bringeth it" to him prior to defending. I thought that was pretty funny.

also, if you look at your map in just the right places you will see some odd things, like someone shaped a clearing or mountain or someting,cant quite remember, in the shape of a horse... you can see it on UO-Automap. also, if you look around, threre are several secret teleporters and interesting locations, like the masteropenthydoor one under a ishlaneer dungeon, and the one that takes you from glow to papaua, and back again, allthough i wouldnt call those useless. i dont know if you still can, cause i havent tried at all lately, but you use to be able to go up to virtue guards and get an order shield, or blackthorn guards to get chaos shields, and disguise kits can be gotten from thief guild masters, that is a fun tool to have.

One other thing I just thought of: In KR (not sure if it is present in 2D) there is an NPC named Walker who trains Ranger skills, or some such... a clear reference to Chuck Norris as Walker, Texas Ranger.

Ultima Online has included some well known Easter Eggs throughout the years.

Lord British's throne is the top half of the Ultima Online logo.
On rare occasions, casting the spell energy vortex will summon a purple llama instead of the purple cloud-like creature the spell is meant to summon. The purple llama is labeled in-game as "an energy vortex" and has the same powers as the creature the spell is named for.
A monster called a slime existed in-game which is a small slithering blob. Some years ago on rare occasions, it was possible to encounter a slime that was renamed a "jwilson," which was purportedly named after magazine editor Johnny Wilson, who had given Ultima Online a bad review and thus earned a derisive place in the game by the developers.
Cows may be tipped by clicking on them numerous times.
Occasionally, an aggressive "mad cow" will be spawned in place of a docile cow.
Walker the legendary Ranger trainer, an NPC trainer in New Haven, looks suspiciously like Chuck Norris, with references to Walker Texas Ranger in his dialog boxes.

I personally have never seen the mad cow one...has anyone else?

And there is a clearing that is shaped like a heart.

LOL the jwilson slimes.... ha! I was going to add the purple llama EV but skylark beat me to it - great list, skylark!

I've only seen the mad cow once in 10 1/4 years

I can't believe no one said this yet, but cow tipping has got to be the most useless, yet entertaining part of this game.
