Ok so I decided to go warrior with my first char what should I start with to have no problem exping my char.??

I meen what skills should I start with so It makes my UO life much easyer??

How should I put str dex and Int??

Btw Im going almost all for PvM.

Hear some people talking about using necro in my fighting style but I have no idea plz come with some nice Starting templates for me.

Plz help me out here would be nice as hell.

For your first character I would recommend just the basics. Nothing to extreme until you get used to playing the game.

First choose Swordsmanship, Fencing, Mace, Lumberjacking, or Parrying as your skill (highlight your weapon of choice and it will tell you which skill it uses).

So then you add on the following:

*Weapon Skill*
Tactics
Anatomy
Healing
Resisting Spells

And then you can throw on two more skills that you would enjoy!

As for strength/dex/int it depends. If you don't have any magery skills on your character you don't need much Intelligence.

maybe 100 str/ 100 dex/ and 25 Int.

Hope that helps you get started. I'm a rather new player as well so any other persons help might be a little better

Warrior types are probably the best start for a new player.


Weapon Skill : either swords or fencing or macing or archery
Healing : so you can use bandages to heal yourself
Anatomy : improves your bandage healing
Tactics : you do more damage with your weapon
Focus : regenerates your stamina and mana

These are the basics.


Then come the additional choices...

Parrying : you use a shield better (useless if you're an archer)
Chivalry : lots of useful spells for warriors
Magic Resist : useful for when you get to fight high level spell-casting monsters
Bushido : more useful spells for warriors



As you have 700 skill points available, you can choose the basic 5, and any 2 from the others.

You will have 225 stat points, so 100 str / 100 dex / 25 int makes a good start. although these can be increased by items you will find as you hunt

As to your question about adding necromancy. It can help, but the bonus for the leeches from wraith and vampire form can be overcome with items. Alot of that is personal choice.

LOL my first character started as a pvm mage (I had no idea what pvp was LOL) but now she's a shiny PvP/PvM Necro/Mage (Super-Cool Magieness)

congrats moonie. Even with my skill knowledge, I for some reason SUXXORS at PvP. Glad you got the hang of it.

hehehe its fun when ur a mage but u forgot to train Magic Resist.. And just PLAIN fun when there is a war between ur guild (no people EVER on) and a guild with tons of people... have fun die-ing!!

the simplest character to learn the game with is a melee based one... the simpler the better to get the feel of the game, to get a point where you can feel like your accomplishing things...

start the character with 49 MR and 49 Healing... do the new player quests for the rewards and fast gains for the rest of the skills to 50 and then follow the skill gain guides and pocket every dime you can lay your hands on and sell everything you can that you do not wish to keep
