Maybe you should stay on another that other site then. "Poor mentality" I don't think so. 100 mill for a suit. yea ok. There is something that is awesome that this site has and it a sense of community and belonging and a willingness to help. And if wanting to be apart of something that great, is having a poor mentality then I must be the poorest of all.

I agree, I've only seen one or two people wearing a full suit at the bank, and none for sale on any of the trade sites or vendors.

The Snake Boots seem to be by far the most popular items.

Re: My attempt to price turn-in items

Thank you for pointing that out. My comments were unduly harsh and I have edited it to attempt to make my point more diplomatically.

The point is, folks, don't sell yourself short. You spent a lot of time for this stuff.

I'm not a UO Billionaire. In fact I've only seen a million on my balance sheet a couple of times. Strange, I thought there was more to the game than that.

Re: My attempt to price turn-in items

There definitely is more to the game than that. But if you were to sell some of your hard-won effort (say a piece of knight's armor) just be sure to get what your time is worth. Trust me, the average player can *afford* to pay you very well.

Re: My attempt to price turn-in items

Public thanks goes to Pickaxe for pointing out the discrepency between reality and FindUO. Turns out FindUO is listing the items as "Errors." Draw what conclusions you wish from that.

Meanwhile, here are some conversions, prices, and ratios:

Earrings = Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080189
25 pairs for sale
450K - 3.5M, or 90:1 to 700:1

One pair of Boots, may not be all of them =
Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080124
36 pairs for sale
500K-13M
I don’t recall the point cost for boots off hand, so I can’t calculate the percentages.

Armor =
Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080158
1 for sale, package deal 65M
Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080159
None available
Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080160
2 avail, one for 37M and one as part of 65M package
Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080161
3 avail: 10M, 37M, one as part of 65M package
Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080162
2 avail, one for 37M and one as part of 65M package
Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080163
2 avail, one for 10M one as part of 65M package
Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080164
2 avail, one for 10M one as part of 65M package

Armor ranges from 100:1 to 370:1. (Note: the "package" deal includes more than just the armor pieces)

One shirt, may not be all of them:
Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080121
26 avail
900K-7M, also as package deal
900:1 to 7000:1.

5000 point tickets: Error (MegaCliloc) : StringId Not Found : 1080154
I can confirm 3 of these for sale at 1M (200:1)
I cannot tell if all the point values and clilocs are the same, so it’s impossible to judge the shard price for points in ticket form at the moment. However, since there are literally hundreds for sale ranging from 8K to 5M, I’m guessing the cliloc is the same for all ticket values.

It appears that the going price for points as of May 7th is around 100gp/point. I expect this number to decline, perhaps sharply, in the coming days.

Please post updates or corrections as you see I’ve missed something. I'm particularly interested in the prices of the mouse statue.

Thanks for looking into it deeper! There is a mouse statue for sale on Napa for 1.7mil. (Not mine.) Just thought you would like to know!

Re: My attempt to price turn-in items

In my opinion what is being overlooked here is,until such time that an adequate number of these new turn in items are transacted that a true calculation can be fomulated to achieve an actual ratio everything is pure speculation.
If Pickaxe pete has presented an example of the armor up for consumer concideration then his price is purely speculative.
What material is required to produce the product, be it items, time or whatever really has no bearing upon what the market will support.
With no way to do a pre market survey to determine what the market might potentially be the initial prices set by various speculators is what it is,speculation.
I believe I understand his logic behind his pricing, which imo is based upon the average player acct age and the percentage of those players that are involved in the "chase the gold piece" style of game play.He has set his bait "so to speak" in water that in his opinion supports the "fish" that he hopes to catch.
Nothing wrong with that style of gameplay if its what you enjoy more power to you.
The fallacy with this type of speculation however is,there is always a bigger fish and one of those might very well scoop up the item without a blink to in turn conduct their own speculation in what we would assume shall be a finite number of items.
ie; Mr. Multi Billionaire buys pete's set at 100 mil and sets a price, then proceeds to buy up any other willing participant's set for the same price and so on.
Within a short span of time the marketed inventory is solely in the hands of a very few.
So to coin a phrase, Pete has sold Parkplace to the owner of Boardwalk and walks away thinking he is a man of wealth.
Problem is pete has to take a ride on the same person's railroads in order to get to his other destinations and is soon nickled and dimed right back to where he was before he sold his limited stock.
So in summary while Pete worries that he may of even underpriced himself those of us who play the game for other reasons besides just building a gold pile have moved on to whatever interesting mischief we can find in our cool snakeskin boots that we have plenty of and every so often we might even wear our 1 or 2 pieces of the uber rare armor that we dropped into one of our ratholes.
Good luck Pete i hope you don't hit yourself in the head with your pickaxe

Re: My attempt to price turn-in items

Not to give the guy a free plug or anything, but that package deal is a hell of a low-priced bargain. IMHO, since nearly all rewards claimed will be the boots, earrings, shirts, sashes and statuette, the armor will rise in value while the rest may fall slightly but not too much as the turn-in items are mostly in a limited supply. As-is, everything except the armor is already very affordable for *most* players. In every turn-in, there should be *something* there to reward those who worked the hardest. The armor is that something this time around. Have fun folks.

Re: My attempt to price turn-in items

Excellent points, friend, and I agree that there are many very valid playstyles in UO, thus the beauty of this game we call home. May you not hit anything important with thy hammer, as well.
