More house comparisons, 2D and KR

The front of my vendor house and my Luna house, 2D and KR.

I like the detail on some of the smaller things - the potted plants, the fruit baskets, the tasty meat pie.

Is it just me, though, or is the scale of some things still a bit... off? Maybe that's just the nature of 3D.

And there seems to be too much shadowing. Should there really be shadows cast inside a house in rooms that are far away from a light source?

I love the bonsai trees now!

I do agree kit, some things aren't to scale, like your polar bear but is huge as are beetle bugs!

Riding polarbears still looks stupid as hell.

I REALLY like the fountain though, it looks very alive. (When you see it animated)

Scale is definitley off. I have a nice 'blue beetle' or I used to. Now I have a black one that looks a lot like a HUGE Cockroach.

My self I actually like the fire beetles in KR however the normal ones suck, is it just me or in Kingdom Reborn does it always seem to be dark and 'dingey' very dusky looking.

Re: More house comparisons, 2D and KR

the vendor house in the upper right corner..... the KR client... Is it just me or do they all look like they are leaning forward like they are about to fall over... like the feet look like they are behind the figure and the guts sticking out and the shoulders are sorta thrown back in a attempt to stay upright....

Think the polar bear is a better size than in the current client...

Trust me this KR client is NOT 3D.

And yes a lot of the items need work. I haven't heard what they are still working on....what is a known issue and what is a bug, or what just looks like crap? I do like the ground better. It is not as flat and lifeless looking.

I'll take that as a compliment! I find them to be quite adorable, even if the scale is a bit off in KR.

Absolutely - the screenshots don't do the new water justice. They look awesome.

Jeremy gave a bit of an explanation for this at the Chicago town hall meeting. She said something along the lines of - the lighting is currently scaled down in KR because they have some "wow!" effects coming up that wouldn't look quite so "wow" if the brightness was at full scale currently. She basically said we just have to trust them and wait and see.

I have NO idea what she meant by it or what could possibly be coming!
