Mining Gemstones

Eww GM fishing...
However I do like mining and having a gem appear in my bag every so often. I still do not have enough gems to make anything with them though. Takes forever to collect them.

I find using a fire beetle and going to the caves by Luna very profitable. I can go through one of the mountain caves in 30 minutes, and collect at least 3-5 gems per visit. Because I have the fire beetle, I don't have to keep making trips to smelt ore.

We mine in Cove, by the town. We get a few gems and a lot of ingots. And since the bank is there, it's so easy to store. We will mine with 1 fire beetle and 1 packy. By the time we finish the strip, the first spot would have respawned with ores or gem.
