Merchant Advise

Hello.
I am in need of some advise from well to do Merchants.
I'm a returning player and returning to find my house and all my vendors gone.
I am now wondering if I should move along to another shard.
What I am looking for is a shard that I could place a small house and run vendors out of easily.
I often sell things like plants, Recalls/Scrolls, rares/collectibles.
I have looked around Atlantic and I dont care much for it because theres not a place for me to put a house.
I dont have gold there either.
I'm looking for a Medium populated American shard.
All advise is very much appreciated.

there are small places to place a house on atlantic
I could show u them if u like
matter of fact I have several houses I am trying to sell, for a free vendor spot, I wouild be willing to give u one of the houses
Do u advertize your spot? I sell mostly minor arties, peerless resources and stuff that is made from them

Keven. Thank you for responding.
Yes I usually advertise my vendors by dropping runes every couple of days OR gating when I can.
I have no developed characters on Atl so it would be hard for me to start a vendor place there because well I have no Gold.
I'm trying to get an idea of where would be a good place to start up a mall again. I guess Atl is the place to be?

I'll have to get on my character there and take another look around.
I noticed it was very busy, but I'm not very good at socialising in UO. ;)

Catskills could work too. Not toooo many medium sized homes there these days, but I know of at least one 10x8(I think it was), also there was an 18x18 falling there tommorow(IDOC tommorow) was in Malas somewhere.
Anyways those are my 2 cents....can I have my change back?

Some Most wonderful People had the suggestion for me to stay on my Home shard.
I was really concerned about setting up again because while I made good money, I was running really low on Goods to sell.
So after much searching on various shards non of them gave quite the same feel as Home. I even went back to my old shard, Great Lakes and there was warm greetings, but not that special kind of feeling you get when you find that Spotwhere you want to be.
I really appreciate all the offers and information you all gave out. That was a nice experience and I think I would like to stay around these forums as a result ;)

I am glad to hear you are staying on your home shard,not that we would not of liked to see/help you on others,but its always a special place to be.

I am sure some suitable spot will come up soon
