Hi, Ok I'm probably being stupid, but having just downloaded the KR client I'm trying to get used to it and even though I'm a Vet in UO I just can't find how to mark a quest item...... if someone could let me know I would really appriciate it.

Thanks Vepl, I've been in the game since 1997 and spent about 1 1/2 hours this pm trying to find out myself, there are references to it on the web but the closest I came to was someone saying that it takes 6 clicks to do it in KR 'v' a couple of clicks in previous versions !!, I'll continue to look aswell and post again if I find the solution as to how.

I haven't found anything difinite yet. I'm not at home where I can start KR. Have you went to the quest log to see if there is a place there to mark it?

Also I'm going to send Queen Mum a PM with a link to this thread. She might have an answer for you

No question is stupid ... just some answers

Try this:

click once on yourself

right click the target graphic that pops up (your name and little pic)

the drop down menu comes up and will show Toggle Quest Item on the list

click on the Toggle Quest Item line and a target curser pops up

(the system chat area will say "target the item you wish to toggle Quest Item staus on)

then click on item you want to target as Quest Item

rinse and repeat as necessary ...

Nop, tried that before as in previouse versions but it no longer works, I'll be trying to fnd an answer tomorrow now so I'll post again with anything I learn.

What type of quest were you trying to do .. maybe its a specific quest messing up ...

and I have to ask ... you sure you accepted a quest ?
I just tried to mark a kilt (which is a quest item) but won't take because im not in quest ....
Message was "that item does not match any of your quest criteria"

Oh maybe this is it ... is the item you want to mark for quest item in your main backpack?
It has to be in main packback and not in another container inside your backpack to accept marking


*sure wish they would let us do in separate container ... my purse is a cluttered mess to begin with

Hmmm, OK I'll check everything again, ie correct quest items and in the main part of my pack (I'm sure it is though).

Won;t be until tomorrow now though, so I'll let you know.

OK, couldn't resist a quick login to check it out, I definatly have the correct items and in the first level of my pack and in the quest etc.... however when I click my char once I get my name come up but I'm not able to click that again to see any other options, so I'm not actually getting past the click my char bit because there isn't anything when you do it !!!

Question:- You are using KR are you ?, because in previouse versions the click and toggle quest item was there but not in KR, well not for me.

Still a mystery at the moment, I'm off line now until tomorrow so I'll catch up again then.
