![]() | Magic Weapon System? Hi all, i'm back after a 7 year absence and one thing that I've noticed that is totally different and thats weapons. In my day magic weapons had grades of accuracy and damage bonus ( if memory serves) for damage it started at ruin and went up to vanquishing. How does it work now; whats the range in damage bonus? as at the mo I don't know if I've found excalibur or a tin opener |

LOL I know what you mean i remember when you could go up to any random person and hit them with a vanq val dble axe with a dble strike and they were Efed... but yeah now adays you want to look for weps with hit lighitng hit mana leeche and hit life leech and of course Damage Inc and Hit chance inc and def chance in... everthing is all differnt from when you left man and well its only getting more differnt |

The only good thing left on it now is the repond factor and whirlwind, but the leeches are less than to be desired now. I have an ornate axe with better leeches (yes all 3) SSI and DI but i dont have the whirlwind ability which is what I like doing at spawns. I dont like going up and clicking every little thing at a spawn... ![]() ![]() |

The only part that bugs me about the nerf is how hard it is now to figure out what's actually a good amount of leech on a weapon you loot, since the weapon speed affects it. Could find a weapon with 50% leech on it but then you realize it's a really slow weapon, so not sure if 50% is high or not since they could go upwards of 80% already... Oh yeah, and in regards to the original question: weapons normally have a damage increase range of 0-50%. This can be surpassed by special artifact weapons or certain enhancements with special materials. A regular GM crafted weapon gets 35% damage increase (or DI as you'll often see mentioned). So pretty much anything from 40% up is good stuff. Of course with all the other properties now available, damage increase alone isn't the deciding factor on what's a good weapon. ![]() ![]() | |
