![]() ![]() | Mage weps w/ -magery what is the use of these weps w/ -29 and such magery skill? I have only used it to train magery. Waht is the use of having a -0 staff of power? Also, a strange thing happened when i was using it w/ my mage to train fencing. I was not gaining anything in fencing points for a bit then suddenly my MAGERY went up .2 points. Is this supposed to happen? I was not casting any spells w/ the wep since it had no SC. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Mage weps w/ -magery Mage weapons use your magery for hit chance. So as you melee a mob with a mage weapon it is the same thing as casting spells for a skill gain check. Of course the lower the -?? is the less it lowers your base magery. The advantage of the staff of the magi or the swords of prosperity is that your magery is not lowered at all. So if you have 120 magery it is like having 120 in the correct weapon skill while using them. Gives you a defense chance that you would not have other wise. Vepl |

Parry can still increase your chance of defense. Just like a swordsman with parry. It would work the same. Just have to have dex over 80 to get the most out of parry. Vepl |

Its especially nice when you find a SC one with -29. The -0 ones (Staff of Power, Swords of Properity, etc.) make it so that you can have a good chance of hitting something. I am kind of torn about getting the SoP for my Tamer...she only has 90ish Magery... |
