macro query

hello there,ive just got myself a ship and set macros for all the commands using the ALT+number keys,they worked fine untill i logged my chr out,when i returned all the macros had not saved and i had to re set them only for it to happen every time i left the game.Any idea what im doing wrong i click apply and ok as normal in the macro settings,my other macros are fine its just the ship commands that wont stay put

Hm, do you have two or more characters with the same name on the shard you play?

I believe if you have the same name on more than one character, it doesn't save individual settings.

Also, if you havent looked into UOAssist yet, I highly suggest it.

I dont have any chrs with the same name and i have got UOASSIST, its just strange that the ship commands are the only macros that dont save all the others are fine

Did you erase the originals?

The ship commands default to a certain set of keys (Ctrl-Alt-NumPad if memory serves...) and iof you didjnt sdelete those out of the default configuration, yours might get overridden when the cliet starts up again...

I have deleted the original ship command macros ages ago as i never thought id need them , i even tried putting the same key commands back but they just wont save,ive tried ctrl+alt+numbers and just alt+numbers.I can re-set them and use them without trouble but when i leave the game they go too,

UO Assist might have macro's set to the same "key" your trying to assign or vice versa.

Me again still no luck with my macros,i have two txt files in each of my chr folders one a normal macros txt and the other 2d macros txt each of these files have my ship command macros included in them yet ingame the ship macros are not saved with my other ones,,,im getting to the point where im gonna chop my boat up and make a great big fire,,,

Eeep! I know it would suck to redo your macro's but maybe delete the txt files and start new?
