Re: Lord of the abyss screenie

The looks of KR are to be expected given the engine they are using. They have pretty much stretched the old tech to its limits. Anymore and it will break.

Re: Lord of the abyss screenie

not really. scaling is about the single easiest thing to to when working with 3d meshes (models). About the simplest way of doing it is to have 1 known object. you know it's real life size, say how tall someone is, and the number of units on the y axis (or Z depending on the particular orientation of the game engine) on a properly scaled model of person. These numbers give you a ratio to use. from that point on you just have to use the ration on the remainder of the models. it takes about 2 seconds with a calculator to get the correct height of any object.

Honestly they're moving the beta along too fast. I have a feeling EA is crawling up the dev's wazoos to get this rushed out the door so they can get on with the expansion to bring in the extra cash. You know ea pretty much demands a new version/expansion of all of their games every year.

We're gonna get stuck with a buggy product, that HOPEFULLY the devs will be able to get straightened out over the coming year.
