![]() | Re: KR Top Ten Issues One more thing... hehe... -When I make an additional tool bar, it will either be a Horiz 1x12 or a Vert 12x1 grid... even though I am able to drag the lower right corner, for a square box of 12x12... It will only make a straight line of slots Horz or Vert, it never fills a square tool bar with slots... This is probly a Bug... |

The above clearly does not happen to every user. For your other issues, most of them have solutions. You can scale your UI, and you can have a single floating icon hotbar with your weight status--just put it beside your health gump. | |

![]() | There are bugs and things that could be fixed but there are two things that really spoil the game for me more than anything else and I think most people would agree that these should be urgently fixed and i would apreciate you focused on making the client be more robust and stable. 1. Crash issues- I've experienced most of the crash issues described in the above posts and lots of random crashes triggered by things like releasing a pet! 2. Resource consumption and memory leak issues - When I first log in KR is great, it runs smooth and fast, but after a while playing it just gets way to slow to even play! And if you tweak down the settings... They dont save for the next time you log on. There are alot better looking mmorpg, in full 3d, that I have played on my system like GW, WoW, CoH, CoV, SWG, EQ2 and guess what... They run much smoother and faster. Dont get me wrong, I love UO and have been playing it for 7 years already, and I keep playing it beacause no other game offers so much content and personalization (character skills, looks, houses, vendors, etc... you name it!) I have tested other games looking for better graphics, but none is as fun as UO and when I saw UO was getting a graphics update I was looking forward to it so much! But the pc resource usage is just ridiculous! It has had a great makeover, sure it looks alot better, but even though it is still not fully 3d like other games... how can it possibly run worse that other games that are graphically so much better? Btw: Im running it on a -AMD64 processor at 3.6Ghz, -2Gb memory DDR400, -Radeon X700pro PCIExpress video card at 256mb GDDR3 430Mhz - dual intergrated 400Mhz RAMDAC with 425Mhz engine clockspeed, -on a 4 ultra chipset based K8N Neo4 motherboard. Not the best pc out there but im running graphically high end games pretty darn fast, and games graphically much superior to KR dont use as much resources and I just dont understand how after 20 mins or so (mabe up to 30) my computer runs KR so ridiculously slow. I really love this game, and I want to be able to play with the KR graphics and iterface, but with this resource consumption its frustrating to have to shut down and reload the client over and over again. And if you add the continuos crashes... It just ruins your gameplay experience completly. In my opinion these 2 issues should be looked into thoroughly and fixed before moving onto any bugs. Because these 2 really spoil the gamplay experience, and dont ecourage anyone to continue testing the client to look for other types of bugs. The new graphics of KR really remind me alot of a game I used to love, not in the art style (each one has its its own unique style) but it reminds me of the way a 2d world had 3d looking objects in it and the lighting/partice/etc effects really looked great too. That game was called Sacred, it didnt have the content UO has but the graphics engine managed something similar looking to the KR style and guess what the minimum spec were for it: Pentium III 800Mhz, 128Mb RAM, and 32Mb graphics card. Mabe you could take a look at it and see how they did it. To get some better resource usage for KR more efficient. Anway, all in all as a loving UO veteran fan im looking forward to seeing this fixed and be able to play the KR client withought so many problems. |

![]() | Re: KR Top Ten Issues Two things: 1) As several have mentioned before, dropping items is frustrating at the very least. On my carpenter, it seems to take longer to drop 20-25 gnarled staffs as it does to make them. 2) This may be specific to my machine, but if I go to the Vesper Museum and go downstairs, everything disappears except the display cases, walls, floors, and the signs. Even part of the stairway disappears. Makes it kind of hard to make donations when the chest disappears when you step on the floor. Video drivers are up to date (8800 GTS) and I've tried different screen resolutions, etc. I'm running 1680x1050 but it happens at 800x600 too.![]() 'Me fail English? ![]() | Re: KR Top Ten Issues - when I zoom in on my 8800 GTX I get ugly borders between tiles, just like UO3D used to do it when I do the same on my notebook with X1600 ATI it works nicely. In general there's more minor issues on the nvidia card, for example, in houses I can see items floating above my character which are placed out on the floors above. So even if I want to, I cannot really play KR on my main system. |

![]() | Re: KR Top Ten Issues WOW! After reading this thread I think I'll Not buy KR. I use to play UO back in 99'. Since then I've just started playing again by getting my hands on a copy of UO 9th Anniv. I've been playing it for about a month now. I was excited to see the graphics overhaul on the website for KR. I've had no crashes or issues (although my char is not that far progressed yet) with UO but I'm really thinking that with all the crash problems I should stay with what I have. |
