KR & Taskbar

Has anyone figured out how to set the screen so my windows taskbar is visible? I've played around with most of the settings but I can't fix it so I can see my ICQ etc.

This is from the FoF Snuggs... I don't like playing without having my taskbar either. At least they're working on it.

To run in windowed mode: Same options menu, make sure "Use fullscreen" is unckecked AND the Windowed Resolution dropdown is set to something smaller than your monitor resolution. NOTE: as of the current build, there is no "Maximize window" option such that you can use the full screen but have your task bar visible. (This is something we're currently working on.)

Ahh ok, I did find something that showed it but it made my UO window much smaller and you could see a lot of my computer background

There are a couple new supported monitor resoltions now so you should be able to find something that really works pretty well. Just use the one that is the next step down from your desktop rez.

Well the next step down is 800x600 and that still doesn't show the taskbar, unless i'm doing it wrong.

What's your monitor resolution at? You'd have to set the game to a lower rez than your monitor.

1024xsomething. haha with my old computer & Monitor it was set at 800x600 *blush*

Probably 1024x768.

Try running KR at 800x600 and keep your monitor rez where it is.

Can you see the taskbar with that setup?

KR - anyway we can get window's taskbar to be shown?

Some players who IM while playing will not be seeing who's trying to get in touch with them. Is there a way to get the taskbar to shown over KR?

We're working on a "maximized mode" or, actually, a way to simply dynamically resize the UO window. I'm not sure if it'll make the next build, but I saw it yesterday and it looks solid.

(Stretching-across-multiple-monitors isn't in this fix - that is something else on our list, though.)
