KR Not all bad

During the past few weeks I have been spending a lot of time in KR. I am growing found of little things like the ease of making macros and using hotbars. Also the way you just right click on loot items and they go straight to your pack. However Like Adri mentioned after a few hours of playing KR gets really slow and laggy, then I have to go back to 2d. I read somewhere that KR has a memroy leak issue they are working on so this should be fixed at some point. But if you can give KR a chance, it will grow on you.

yeah, if you're using Vista, you need to run the prog as an admin, otherwise it won't patch.

Its now very playable for me with no probs except the odd ctd. I love thegraphics in KR and the interface and craft menus are great.

Just a note for those lagging a bit. I posted in my blog that by turning off shadows in the graphics options, KR ran light years better for me. And I have a fairly decent system.

I have a computer that would "crawl" (unplayable) in UOKR. So I thought it's probably my old graphics card. My computer is hand-built, but about 3-5 years old in technology. It's 2.01GHz AMD Athlon XP 2400+, 1.5 GB RAM.

I tested my system with Aquamark3, which I downloaded from here. I think/hope that is a trusted site (http://www.softpedia.com)

On my poor system, I had a total Aquamark3 value of around 6000. My CPU value was pretty good, but my GFX (graphics card) value was really low.

I then bought a new top of the line AGP card (since I did not want to change my motherboard and go with new PCI-extended cards yet) and I can easily play UOKR on my older computer. I now get an Aquamark3 rating of about 33,000. I think my computer was waiting so much on the graphics card to do things, I could not play UOKR on that machine.

I don't understand all the tests and values, but I do see the test shows the workload on the CPU versus the workload on the GFX (graphics) card. (higher ratings are good, lower are bad).

Are there other forums/threads talking about test benchmarks for our computers so we can at least try to know what components might need upgrading?

LOL just to give yall an idea how bad my work comp is....8:44 hours just to download aquamark3. just seeing that is enough to tell me it suxxors!
