The OS (Windows XP) uses alot of memory plus it might also run shared memory, depends on the system setup. In other words he probably only does have about 200mb of free ram for any software/games which is seriously too less, he should upgrade to 2GB because it's standard today and ram sticks are really very very cheap nowadays. 200mb free, now he runs ICQ or trillian, has some internet explorer or firefox windows open, antivir software etc. + UOKR or any other game for that matter and his ram is more than just full, it's overloaded and begins to burn  128mb graphiccard, it depends what graphiccard, if he has a ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128mb graphiccard, then i have to say that his card is not only bad, but also very !!!!ty even for just isometric games. KR is still unplayable for mos I would have to agree with Xnath however I believe if they get the memory leaks worked out then it wont be such a problem. My system is pretty high end , pushes WoW and LoTRO with little to no lag, plays UO 2d fantastic of course but still have tons of crashes and lag on KR. I attribute 99% of my problems to memory leaks. |

Do you remember all the leaks 2D has had? And how long, how many years it took to iron them out? And for the most part during that time UO had a decent size dev team. Now though? I would be surprised if we had a dozen people total on UO. It appears that all resources are being channeled into Warhammer.  Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment |
