The client always (every time) crashes upon loading on my dell inspiron 8100 laptop Pent III. While it is a fairly old computer I don't feel it is that outdated that it falls under the specs that should run it. I can occasionally hear the music at start up and then get the windows error (you all know the one which gives you the option to report to windows and then no one responds to the error when you report it). BTW I am running XP.



Any suggestions?

A laptop? What sort of graphics device does it have?

I play on a laptop and my display device will, for the time being, not work with KR. Until that it is fixed I'm SOL. I'd recommend checking this thread to see if it applies to you.

My b'f did get me a new graphics card a GeForce7300 graphics card,but I think its the wrong one,as it wont slot in my PC

So I have to wait till he comes over to UK next month now *sobbs*

That card slots into a PCI Express slot.

I'd hazard a guess you'd need an AGP card, not a PCI-E one

All of the form factors provide an expansion slot for one 32-bit, AGP 4x card (low-profile in the small form-factor and small desktop computers) operating at 1.5 V.

So yea, make sure ya buy an AGP card.
