Nope. I mean all those who continually post negatively--no matter what's done, it isn't right according to some folks. I just get tired of all the negativity, and it's always the same people, across many boards.

I'll be moving to the new client, I think the graphics are an improvment, hey we knew it wasn't going to be true 3d. I was a little bummed about UOAssist not being able to work, but as long as I can get similair functionality in the new client, I'll adapt I'm sure.

Well, Ive gone through 5.5 of the 7 videos on YouTube and I have to say that it looks purty durn nice to me.

I need to get my hands on it to test out some things...

Fer instance:

Hotbars: They said youll be able to have more than one; will there be a hotkey to swap hotbars? So you could have an offense hotbar with DD Spells, explo pots, etc. and then press a key to swap to your Defense hotbar with Cure, Rez, Invis, etc.? Thatd be sweet.

Possibly a primary/secondary (maybe even tertiary ) weapon slots to keep them out of the backpack? Alot of people carry different weps either due to spawn in a given area, moving around to different spawns, or PvP functionality.

Backpacks and "Loot All": I just want to see day-to-day functionality of this. One player brought up Runebooks and how they will fit into the scheme which is a very good point but also the bankbox comes into my mind. Along with general organiztion of items; drag and drop? Maybe "Sort by" columns with available selections like "Item Type," "Item Name," etc.

Paperdoll: I always have my paperdoll open now but it seems that I may not have to? Like to see how that works out...

I dunno, all in all, Im very excited.

I can't wait for UO:KR but really only for the graphics overhaul. The new graphics look amazing and it'll give UO that little extra bit of graphical immersion that it's been missing for a while (this is of course the only type of immersion it's missing, hits every other aspect). However, if they take all the little things out that give UO it's extra immersive nature then I'll stay with 2D. The little things I mean are stuff like:
Spellbook gumps being BOOKS not menus.
Container gumps being the container instead of just tiles of items.
Characters actually speaking not some lame "chat window" crap.
Hues, clothing in particular, Third Dawns hues are/were crap compared to 2D.
Colour, the 2D client is actually quite pretty it's very colourful but not over the top, don't make KR too neutral and dark.
Character models, no huge butch beefy men or slender petite women. The 2D paperdolls and models are built just fine.

Only a few points but you get the idea. I just want KR to keep the feeling that UO really is a fantasy world instead of a menu driven interface pushing some D&D models. Please just don't screw up.

No from what I have been reading the majority of people that have been posting are looking forward to the new client. however a few are very vocal about not wanting it and they post over and over and over and over and over and over so it looks like a lot of people are not happy with what they have seen. if you do a "head" count and not a post count you will see people are excited about what we have seen so far.

yes we need KR. Its about time we get a easier to use interface. Make things easier and more attractive with new graphics. Although I do agree with some that the running looked awkward as it was shown in some of the example movies. Like if you lagged, your feet continued to move in a running motion and your feet seemed to be running faster than your character was moving over all in distance. So thats my only dislike currently.

Other than that, Im really looking forward to it.:grin:

The videos were probably lagging because they've been testing the new client on existing shards. And don't forget it isn't finnished yet. Only 6 months left to test it.......there's gonna be a lot of exploits within the first few months, they'll never iron them out in time. I think I'll take a break while they iron out the worst exploits or play with replaceable equipment, so not my ornie, when i finally save up and buy it.

I'm looking forward to it. And those that say they are used to playing the current 2d client, they aren't gonna change the client that much. Anything they do, should be improvements. You'll get used to the new client quick. A week, tops, and I'll be back up to speed.
