Kingdom Reborn and Mondain's Legacy

I'm a fairly new player currently play on KR client. I've been thinking of downloading Mondain's Legacy for some of the extra features, but have a couple of questions.

1) Are the additional features worth it?

2) Will "upgrading" to ML change the appearance of the game? I actually kinda like the 3D experience.

Any comments would be appreciated.

If you dont use UOA at moment - then some features will be very welcome for you.. Id say it got both positive effects and negative effects to your playstyle - something new to get used to..

Id strongly not recommend it if you plan on pvp.

#2 ill let someone with more experience with KR answer

Re: Kingdom Reborn and Mondain's Legacy

Mondain Legacy is an expansion, it adds content only. You activate it with a simple "key" you buy on the EA website. (go on your account management page to use it).

Kingdom Reborn is the client you use to connect to the server, it's what gives you the graphics and "features". You need to download clients to use them.

With ML you'll be able to access the latests shiny armors, craft the latest shiny stuffs, hunt the peerless bosses and make elven characters which (if you don't mind the look) give you a huge mana boost along a resist cap bonus.

So all in all, upgrading to the latest expansion always has plus sides... or it wouldn't sell at all...

You won't have a different gameplay experience though, as gameplay is client related. You'll have new content to play with, which is expansion related.

I hope it's clearer :-)

Re: Kingdom Reborn and Mondain's Legacy

Try to find a copy of the 9th anniversary edition, it will most likely be in the bargain bin. If you can find one it will be alot cheaper than the $30 dollars that EAMythic is still charging.

In the 9th anniversary is an upgrade code which gives you access to all content currently in game.

You will still have to download the KR client if you want to use that. KR adds no new content. Just "newer" graphics and a new user interface.

Mondain's Legacy gives you ability to be an elf, go to heartwood (elf city), new receipes, armors, weapons, spellweaving skill, new dungeons, increased storage.

Re: Kingdom Reborn and Mondain's Legacy

Wow guys, thanks for the help.

I think I might be getting my head around this. Basically, I think what you are saying is the gaming experience (e.g. the interface) is determined by the client software I am running, whereas the content is determined through the server based on any additional content I have purchased (eg ML).
