I know this is possible because I've created this macro before.

Some solutions off the top of my head:

1.) Place axe in tool bar, and choose target by cursor. Then just click on the tree.

2.) What does the macro Target By Resource do? Maybe you could check that out. I'll give it a try later tonight and see what I can figure out

Yeah the thing is not very intuitive/user friendly. But that's typical EA... meh. Didn't they do the same thing with the 3D client? I never liked that f'ugly thing.

Yeah took me awhile to get used to. Luckily there was enough people to answer my questions.

No real user manual or anything except for what the players made.

Hopefully you give it a try. I know its rough to learn.

Target by resources from what ive figured out automatically seraches for and selects resources around you. The mining/lumberjacking macro ive made with it works reasonably well.
