![]() | Re: Jeremy wants to know There were a few people I know, who refused totally to add the new lands and skills and didn't upgrade. I don't know if they still play, or if they eventually upgraded after all. Most were staunch Felucca players, at least one that I can think of played Trammel, and only Trammel. I remember organising a guild hunt in Ilshenar to hunt paragons and having to re-think because one of the group couldn't go there. Came as a surprise because paragons were introduced a long time after LBR launch and I thought everyone had it by then. ![]() |

![]() | Re: Jeremy wants to know It's a shame EA didn't take the opportunity to release a PROPER 3D client, or hell, a UOKR which wasn't so bug ridden and unplayable for most But, I'm sure some of you will agree, I wasn't at all surprised to see it released in the state that it was, but in doing so, I think they've damaged UO's sustainability for the future. Do I think UO is dying? Yes, I do I believe SirBruce's mmorg subscription chart figures are correct, going by what Wilki told me (when he worked there) And from my conversations with certain EA reps, they really don't seem to have a clue on how to remedy the situation The sad part for me is, when UO is finally "canned", you just know EA will refuse to sell the name/code etc to anyone, regardless of how much they offer. |

That right there is the biggest shame.... Saddens me really when I think about how good UO could be if they only put forth the proper effort and resources... Seems to me more often than not they fail to realize even what truely makes UO so great.... why it really is still around and why so many stay.... I don't think there is any one change that could be made to truely revive UO.... Not that I ever condone going back to what it was at the begining.. as the utter lawlessness and ability to truely be stripped of all your hard work and effort isn't something I would ever enjoy..... But a return to some level of community..... and cause and effect.... balance.... and a return of Seers and such that can reward a community for their efforts..... and lead groups on true quests that have meaning and are more engaging than the current mindless routine would be good. I could be swayed to have all lands open to PvP if there was some way to "police" the PK...... some consiquence to being a murderer...or a thief. Currently there is no such thing.... But before any of that can ever happen something has to be done about the cheating.... and the turn from UO being a skill based game to UO being an item based game. ![]() ![]() Last edited by MalagAste; 3rd May 2008 at 11:28 AM.. | |

![]() | Re: Jeremy wants to know Jeremy has cleared this up in today's FoF. If they were able to discontinue having to create patches all the way back to the Renaissance version of the client, it would help make the publishing process a bit faster. At least, that is how I understood the explaination. ![]() |

![]() | Re: Jeremy wants to know What they really need to do is grow a pair and tell the 4 people who are using the old client to suck it up or find another game. The rest of us are tired of waitin 3 months for a dribble of content with un-asked for bug fixes as it is. |
