Yes so I have heard that they have improved some things. I never went for 3D either but one day when I saw a comparison of a 3D screenie to the KR...was like dang even 3D looked better.

Nah I am afraind I am part of the aging UO possibly soon to become extinct species dinosaurs of UO.... prefer 2D, I have an aging xp computer do not even want to get a Vista I doubt I could figure those out either.........so I am on borrowed UO EA customer time frame till......we folks like me are probably put out to pasture. But hey 10 yrs is a good run. I can still remember my excitement to get that FIRST expansion cd...the lost lands. Been payin EA all these years. . so even if I do get shut out in due time via them dumping 2D or some have to have a vista and speedier connections to PLAY at all....I can not complain. I have had nearly 10 darn good full yrs of playing Ultima Online. I would miss seeing llamas and mongbats and my chrs. though.

Aye, I enjoyed 2D also, but with the direction they keep pointing to, it does look like it's not on top of the priority list anymore.

2D will eventually be phased out, but not anytime soon. It still have a few years left.

Sadly some times I wonder if UO itself, is even on their radar.

I will always see Ultima Online as a gem of a game that over the years seems to have been lost or forgotten needing a rescue given the love and attention it truely deserves.

I stopped playing not because I didn't like the game anymore, but because they way it was being run (into the ground).

Been on Chesapeake since for ages for forever it seems, and Siege past 4 yrs. but sadly Siege is dwindling in population especially dwindling are rplers but there were some grand ones there too ..once. Glad I got to meet em and hang with them while they stuck around on that shard. Ches. will ALWAYS have em though. As long as grand old player run establishments like Paxlair and towns, still function and the people whom care of them also still remain on Ches. the *roles* will remain and much to do or attend at times.

Same here. Playing UO has been about the guilds, the community... and the people in them.

It said in the OP that they want to know whos still playing that antique install, not whos still playing 'antique' 2D

I know I'm not..... I think I have 9th anniversary installed. Years ago I had the Ren installed but not anymore.... that much I know I always reinstall UO from the most recent disk.
