Ya know I never got the *in game* gump questionare either, that one that supposidly asked us why we *DON'T* play KR.

I think that one wasn't a universal thing, I think it was sent to accounts 3+ years old.

Might be that I have both 2D and KR installed, and play both.

I NEVER dwld'd KR. . with all them megabytes and bs to get it all TO even dwld. correctly and fully...on MY slow dial up...........NO way. Not worth the hassle either since I still do not even like how some of it even looks. Some screenies looked really cool, but the tiny small detailed stuff looked like........blur blobs. My old eyes would not tolerate that for long playin in game on that stuff.

Can't blame ya Wynd, I DL'd it 3 times just to get it to work, then was thoroughly disappointed. That was when they supposedly had it up to par, which it clearly wasn't, but I hear they've made improvements since then.

KR is much better now. But you notice EAM still hasn't published system requirements for it. ;)

The DL is a 2.3g file... that would be a killer on dialup. And the KR DVD needs to be updated, the current patches are as big as the DL.

Might want to wait for the DVD to be updated.

Yes so I have heard that they have improved some things. I never went for 3D either but one day when I saw a comparison of a 3D screenie to the KR...was like dang even 3D looked better.

Nah I am afraind I am part of the aging UO possibly soon to become extinct species dinosaurs of UO.... prefer 2D, I have an aging xp computer do not even want to get a Vista I doubt I could figure those out either.........so I am on borrowed UO EA customer time frame till......we folks like me are probably put out to pasture. But hey 10 yrs is a good run. I can still remember my excitement to get that FIRST expansion cd...the lost lands. Been payin EA all these years. . so even if I do get shut out in due time via them dumping 2D or some have to have a vista and speedier connections to PLAY at all....I can not complain. I have had nearly 10 darn good full yrs of playing Ultima Online. I would miss seeing llamas and mongbats and my chrs. though.

Aye, I enjoyed 2D also, but with the direction they keep pointing to, it does look like it's not on top of the priority list anymore.

2D will eventually be phased out, but not anytime soon. It still have a few years left.

Sadly some times I wonder if UO itself, is even on their radar.

I will always see Ultima Online as a gem of a game that over the years seems to have been lost or forgotten needing a rescue given the love and attention it truely deserves.
