right now, i'm downloading the 15 day trial client to give UO a try. but i have questions....
1. i believe i heard that all zones have 2 "copy" zones. each one is either pk or non-pk. is this true?
2. how good is the economy?
3. will UO ever die?

1) you're half correct. There are 6 facets in the game (trammel, felluca, ilsh, malas, tokuno island, and T2A. 2 of which are felluca (pvp enabled) and the rest which are trammel (non pvp activity). That doesnt mean you can't attack and kill people in trammel. If you are guilded, that also gives you pvp rights but is normally not a problem unless youre in a pvp related guild.

2) the economy has been testy over the past few months but for the most part, the economy to the average player is fair. It really only hurts people who horde millions upon millions of gold to sell and dupers (people who dupelicate gold illegaly)

3) unfortunatly theres an end to everything. its the inevitable. But I see uo lasting a long long time before EA decides its time to let it go. It is still a very popular game amoung people due to the mass amount of things you can do and adventures you can have :grin:

2 fel facets? I thought there was only Felucca?
Or are you getting confused with shards/facets?

There's 2 types of server (shard), production shards and Siege, siege is Felucca ONLY
On the rest, there's 4 trammel facets (Trammel, Ilshenar, Malas and Tokuno) and 1 Felucca facet (Felucca)

As for whether UO is dying, well, someone said on stratics that during the last meetup, EA has committed funding for UO, for the next 10 years

I personally, don't play UO anymore

But, if you're starting off and want to play with a great bunch of people, pick Lake Austin and join the UO:F guild

2 fel based facets yes.. Felluca its self and T2A. thats what I was refering to. there is also a trammel version of T2A.
