Is this scamming? or no?

I've often wondered what people's thoughts are about this.

This happened a while ago and had alot of negative press for the site involved.

Tradespot's owner Lynn sells codes for gold and cash alike
When EA launched that promotion which allowed a person to cash in their existing (used) soulstone code, for soulstone fragments

Lynn used codes she'd allready sold, to claim those soulstone fragments to sell for profit.

So, did Lynn scam by doing that?
Does/did she retain rights to those claimable fragments even after selling the original code?

I know when it was raised on Stratics, Africanus venemously (sp) backed lynn up saying it was AOK what she did.

Re: Is this scamming? or no?

I think once you buy the code, it is yours. For her to go and claim the gifts on codes she sold is almost like stealing. She is making money twice off the same code, which I believe is indeed a scam...

I think it is scamming if somebody has paid for the code, without being told prior to payment that she retained the codes for personal use.

Re: Is this scamming? or no?

In my opinion, once you sell it you sell it. You may no longer use the code for ANYTHING. I think that was low down. Its like buying a car from someone, but when the other person needs a spare part, he comes and steals yours.

Comeon now!

Re: Is this scamming? or no?

It was scamming because she hadn't posted that the soulstones weren't included.. as soon as she got barbaqued on Stratics, she doctored up the sale posts with the disclaimer.. stating she forgot. That chick would steal $100 from her mother's purse to buy drugs. Hopefully they're prescription drugs for that violent tantrums of hers.

Re: Is this scamming? or no?

Definitely scamming for the reasons everyone else is stating. Once she sold those codes she forfieted her rights to use those codes for any future promotions. The simple fact that she held onto those codes for so long is quite suspicious to me.

Re: Is this scamming? or no?

*thinks SpyderBite really doesn't like Lynn*

But ya she was kinda rude to me when we did business. I got what I wanted in the end and haven't had any regrets, but she made a few mistakes and then blamed me for them.

And yes what she did was 1) scamming, 2) unethical and 3) illegal, and if anyone wanted their what(10 bucks) back they COULD have gotten it pretty damn easily, hardest part would be explaining to the judge what a Soulstone is LOL.

Re: Is this scamming? or no?

agreed with everyone..(if it's not already) should be illegal..and yes it was scamming. love how she conveniently 'forgot' about the soulstones not being included. the way i understand it, africanus (sp?) who supports her so much is pretty much in her pocket yes? and also he's a very outspoken mouthpiece on stratics against that topic..so anytime now i see his name on a post i pretty much ignore it?
