Invisible Escorts??

first UO crashes trying to recall to New Haven.
log back on, pick up an escort, and halfway to the destination it vanishes. when i try to get another one it says i already have one, lol.
finally picks up another escort, takes to the music shop. my char. freezes when i get there, have to log back in again.
tries to log back on, and it is not letting me back on!
the shard is Great Lakes.
