Magincia Repels Invasion!

30 Oct 2007 19:51:14 Victory cheers rang throughout Magincia today as hundreds of daemons met a swift end at the hands of the city’s militia. The mayor issued a short statement:

“This morning I was apprised of an unexpected and unprovoked invasion of daemons near the moongate. My staff and I immediately surveyed the battlefield, and our excellent field commanders were quick to repel the invasion and defend our city’s borders. A few residents are reporting minor structural damages, but we’re reporting no loss of life. I’m proud of the way our militia handled themselves, and have politely declined offers of assistance from the mainland government. At this time I would like to reiterate that while there may be a few daemons left to hunt down, there is no major, sustained threat to the city. This so-called ‘invasion’ is over.”

Magical methods of travel still remain unavailable, however, and the Magincia moongate appears to have ceased functioning altogether. The BNN will be sending Sherry the Mouse, our intrepid field investigator, to the scene tomorrow.

Is the invasion over? Only one night? WTF?

that would suck i was onlast night in alantic and i got no patch or nothing i loged at about 12:00

Im going in to check now. If its over, thats just silly, cause it started around midnight here in europe and lasted to this morning. People usually sleep and go to work on weekdays and don't sit up all night checking for invasions.

I would HOPE that update was just for the storyline... showing Magincia's contempt for outsiders by denying any help, and illustrating their snobbish ways. Hopefully, the invasion returns full-bore, and teaches the mayor a lessen he won't soon forget...

otherwise, guess I missed it too...

i dont think magnecia will be saved on every shard but would be cool if it does

Gonna be tough to plan further expansions, events and such if Magincia survives on some shards and not all. Otherwise nothing will ever take place there again!

im on alantic and i would be willing to defend in fel also if i didnt get ganked when my health was less then half way

Ya isnt that just a joke! You try to help "save your shard" only to get ganked by some griefer who has nothing better to do and hasnt seen a soul in Fel in months so just cant resist the urge. Funny thing is with insurance they dont get nothing for it but a little gold woo!

I was in fel last night defending. There were some HOT and DEI but mainly everyone was battling the invasion. I will be there again tonight; if it still is going on.
