"The only info provided on this expansion is three screenshots. As noted, you'll hear more during an event in January."

Actually I think the "slip" would have to be the word "event" where I think they could have meant "announcement".

I could be wrong, I think I read somehwhere else (maybe a FoF or something) that there would be more info on KR in January, just not that it would involve an event.

..When can we get more updates? Maybe some more screenshots? I'm sure we'd all like to know what else is going on with the project. EA has a bad habit of showing us something then going quiet and the next we hear of it, it's canceled. So about that update...?

The silence has been noticed. A part of me wishes we could access the project plan status reports. Should we be firing off suggestions, or have all the decisions been made long ago and its just a matter of implementing it? Is the functionality of the client changing or is it mostly updated graphics and screen decorations? How many "systems" are there in the client? (I'll bet it has started to really add up over the years). How extensive is the content update? (same questions repeat)

I'm just as hungry for more details as everyone else, but I don't expect any until they unleash them upon us, so I'm not going to bother to start begging for them.

And something about this current Dev Team, the merger with Mythic, and the general all around feel of the game doesn't lead me to believe that the big cancellation message will be forthcoming.

We'll get more info when we get it. Personally I've seen the graphics, now I want to know about interface improvements.

I think a 5 on Friday comment from Darkscribe was that we'll be getting plenty of KR information before the end of December.

There are like a billion different screenshots that could possibly be taken for the game. Surely leaking one every week, or fortnight or whatever - even a bunch a month.......wouldn't be too much?

They don't even have to be that meaningful. They don't need to include all the monsters (we need some surprises for when the game comes out!) but cities, landscape, a few monsters, characters etc........

There's so much that could be released and it's been so long.....

When will we get a target date for release as well? I want to know more about what's being changed other than graphics, though I would also like more screenshots.

Yes, we're all in full swing production and haven't had a lot of time for posting. So buns are… wait, there's no good way of saying that – we're working very hard and are very excited about UOKR.

And FYI, projects can be cancelled – market or not. In my experience, game projects being cancelled has more to do with cost of shipping vs return than marketability. Games with no market usually get dropped pretty early. UOKR has a lot going for it and we're all going some really great work. well what i would enjoy to see would be some paper dolls or something ya know? and also with the new release will you be able to have the fro look? that was the best hairdo to choose ya know lol

I think everyones just dying to see if the client runs around smoothly (even on a behemoth of a machine) just to see the damn thing moving around. Personally I want to see what they meant by new user interface; I want to know if they've gone for something like WoW where you can shove things from your spellbook into a hotbar and whatnot.

they did say they are going with a hotbar or something here is there exact words in the five on friday on uo.com: "Will there be a macro bar or hot key bar? Will we be able to drag and drop a spell or potion into the one slot and press one key to activate it?"
Yes, we are creating a hot bar that will simplify using spells and items. Our goal is to make everything much, much simpler for players both new and elder.

Yes, that's why I'm hoping they don't do away with the 2d client entirely. The current 3d client lags, even on my cable modem. My computer is a little over 4 years old, and there's not much of a chance of me getting a new one any time soon.
