 | I'm new... sort of :) Hi all. Well looks like I'm coming back to UO. I started playing on Greatlakes years ago. I don't really remember when... It was back when you could PvP anywhere. Anyway...I left about 3 years ago. I was playing WoW hardcore and now I'm playing Oblivion on my 360. But, I miss UO. Can I ask a few questions please? 1) Can people pvp now? 2) When I stopped playing UO housing was something you had if you were Very lucky. I ended up buying a small house on ebay for lots of cash... Ah 3)the bad old days. Can people get housing now? 3)I'm in the midwest, what Shard should I play? Is greatlakes fun? I'm looking for something not crowded. 4) Most Imp!!! Can I solo play? I really love the solo aspect of old UO. Solo was hard in WOW. Thanks so much! Cheers |

 | Re: I'm new... sort of :) 1. nonconsentual pvp is on Feullica facet set. What you are more than likely familar with. 2. Housing is not too much of a problem. SOme servers are more crowded than others. 3. When you first log into the game, you will see latency and packet loss information on the servers, choose the best one for you. 4. You can solo most things, but super bosses (Peerless) you will need help.

My Mood:  | Re: I'm new... sort of :) Welcome to the forums, Perkins! 1) I don't have any experience in PVP, so i'll leave it for someone else to answer  2) You can, but it depends on the shard At least one shard has spaces to place small-medium house plots, that one being Legends, not sure on the rest. 3) Again i'm biased, i'd say Legends, heh Baja was an "ok" shard, that's west coast. 4) Yep, you can Best to start with a paladin to rake in some gold, in my opinion. I played PURELY solo on UO

| Re: I'm new... sort of :) Welcome back to UO. The central shards, Lake Superior and Great Lakes are pretty heavily populated. If looking for low population check out and see if your connections are good to Legends or Lake Austin.

| Re: I'm new... sort of :) Great Lakes is pretty crowded but even there I know of a few house spots (about 9x12). All I play is solo so it works out pretty good.
