i want to RP as a race besides human or elf...

Hello all! i've grown tired of having to remain out of fights for 30 minutes after a RPPvP death, and i've been wondering what shards are best for roleplaying as a different race? i don't care if the race is evil or good! the shard must be english.
also, i was wondering if there are any shards without a 30 minute time-out from RP deaths where each ingame city has a guild that leads it's RPers like my shard.

Pacific has an Elf RP aspect somewheres. Don't know how much into RPvP they get into, but it's something to look into (30 minute wait does not sound fun).

30 minute wait is mainly to prevent people dying, ressing, and rejoining the fight.
Otherwise you have an endless churn.

The rule in the Europa RoE is:
"If knocked unconscious or killed, do not continue to fight or otherwise take part in any ongoing battles (eg healing others) for 30 minutes, during which time a deathrobe must be worn. The wait should really be 15-20minutes as being punished for half an hour just for involving yourself in pvp is not fun at all. The problem is that people already abuse this 30minute wait time (i.e. about %10 of GRD) and lowering it would only make people more likely to cheat.

I quite like the 30 minutes.
It's annoying when I want to participate in a fight, and a stupid move at the beginning results in me having to sit and watch the fighting (along with the rest of the cult of the pwned, matching robes and all).
But it is a chance to kick back, pour myself another cup of tea, and resynch with the world outside the 19" box

That's understandable.

I don't know, I guess I see it as, if you'll allow someone to get back in a fight, why make them wait? Either have a "death" or "knocked unconcious" limit, or have it one and done.

hmm but if the battle ends, cant the gms arrange to have the next conflict any sooner than 30 minutes? (granted they arrange it by common choice)
