I had the same problem when I put up my Cherry tree on the second floor. A quick fix was to just move it to the roof and make a cute roof top garden

Weird... so the only floors you can place it on without it leaving a shadow on others are the first and fourth floors?

thats about it. It sucks but remember the code is at least 13 years old. Yes a tree is a tree is a tree, but in UO all trees were static on every shard until they added these.

But ancient code shouldn't have been an issue. At the same time they released these trees, they released many other deeded items with no function and a new appearance. Meaning they obviously had the ability at the time to make deeded items with a custom appearance. It's not like they were forced to use the same trees on the ground.
