Just wondered if anyone else has had these 2 problems? I really would like give KR a good try for a few days, see if I can adapt. But I cant because of these.

1. When I play KR after about 10 minutes. I get a popup from ATI Control panel saying my graphics adapter is running too hot, and must reduce the clock to stop it overheating. Strange I dont get this in any other game. I will say I run a small Shuttle system and were talking over 100 degrees with KR, I would rather not cook my computer thankyou very much.

2. This is a new one thats just happened. I start it up, type my password, press login and nothing. press enter, nothing. The Login button is still highlightable the arrows can be pressed, but they arnt doing anything.

And yet I thought the game was final?

If anyone can help, it would be most appreciated. And I am running all the latest drivers and what not.

I had the same problem as far as overheating goes
Although my computer didn't actually overheat, the fan was going nuts, which I didn't feel uncomfortable with, so stopped playing KR
As you said, you don't get the same problem in other games, neither do I.

I don't have an anwer I'm afraid, I don't think EA has said anything about it either.

I think the overheating problem is mostly due to UO's lack of optimization, which is something they are working on, although I haven't had a problem like that at all with my NVIDIA. Second, as for the login thing, do you mean that you type in your password, it shows on the screen, and yet you cannot press a button to log in? I have noticed that if you load KR and just start to type, it does not automatically start typing in the password spot like it should, but if I click the password spot, type my password, and press enter, everything works as it should. EA has repeatedly stated that there is still much work to do, in fact they had pushed back the SA expansion until they get KR in better shape. Nearly every game when it comes out is riddled with bugs, balance issues, compatibility issues. If KR doesn't work for you, don't use it. Try it every couple of weeks/every patch, report the bugs you find (especially that overheating one as it sounds serious) and continue to play the perfectly usable 2D client. We aren't paying anything for this upgrade, so if you want to use it, great, if not, you're not really out anything and you have the ability to continue exactly as you were before KR came out.

Thanks for the help, In regards to the login, I start it up and get to the login screen. I type in my password and hit enter, or press Login, The login button becomes grey the white text goes grey. as it should, But nothing happens, if you move the mouse around you can keep clicking login as many times as you like and nothing happens. Also the forward arrow doesnt work, but the back one reloads the login screen.
