I still wish to lock this down...

Perhaps I've missed something obvious, but I can't find a way to secure/lockdown/release items in my house

The usual 'spoken' commands don't work, and I can't find a context menu.

Am I missing something obivous?

I Wish To Secure This--you Can Take Thngs Out Of Chest And Still Be Locked Down
I Wish To Lock This Down
I Wish To Release This

ugh hit enter i SO HATE THAT NEW THING! The old chat system was awesome...And so was the old options menu where u can put in macros for I wish to secure this and so ona dn change ur text coilor and all that good stuff

i do see that we can have SAY buttons but I tried to make one for I wish to secure this And it wont fit UGH!

I've tried all the I wish to lock this down, I wish to secure this, I wish to release this etc. But they do nothing except make me feel silly talking to myself

Sorry I forgot to Welcome you to UO Forums dumonline

It could be a bug. I would report it. I haven't tried in KR so was just guessing that it still worked that way. Also I have had some commands work for other testers that didn't work for me. Guild chat was one of those

. Now it seems to work fine for me.

Welcome to the forums dumonline.

I do not have an answer for you. Have you reported it? At the least it testifies that this is not an intuitive function.

Also, report the "say: I wish to lock this down" not fitting.

Ditto - I also wish my guild chat didn't show up over my head. And I wish that messages spoken in guild chat had the [guild] prefix before them like they do in 2D... in the journal, I can't tell what was said out loud and what was in guild chat.

but overall I like the new system. Hopefully these are just bugs they need to work out.

sometimes you have to try it twice ... so try it again .. and if the curser doesn't come up .. try again ...

i just tried it with dyes .. and it took me a couple tries

hit enter
say: I wish to lock this down
or
say: I wish to secure this

curser should come up as normal and just target item ...
after targeting item ... move hand and then move hand again back over the item to make sure it is locked/secured ...
