Where is all this "slime cloth" coming from?

Just came back to UO after a couple months and noticed some vendors selling it.

These things came from a recent event on the asian shards, where hydra-fireball-launching slimes that lasted a certain amount of time (such as a paragon key, for example) spawned in certain locations that had these unique hues.

Well, I guess 'unique' isn't entirely accurate. It was named the "AoS Slime Event" by many, since they do match the Age of Shadows reward clothing colors.

Keep in mind these slimes were able to be used unlimited times (ie, you could dye 5000 bolts 100% poison green if you wanted to and had the cloth), and people quite likely have a lot of that cloth. It's definitely not worth what I've seen folks charging for it.

Though the sale price has, admittedly, gone from over what people at the high-end were asking (1 mil for a bolt) down to 100-250k per bolt. Still a bit pricey if you ask me, for something that cost from 0gp (if you get the wool from sheep to make cloth) to around 100-200gp on a vendor.

Seems like many are using the high prices to cover the cost of their transfer tokens.
