I guess it's ironic in some ways.

I was thinking about reactivating an old UO account, had been for a week or so

I was then browsing UHall to catch up on the latest Dev posts and saw the EVE Online banner
It's then I decided to give it a try and now like it
I guess it's ironic that the official support forums for UO has enticed me to a game which isn't operated by EA and they have now lost a returning customer, lol

Re: I guess it's ironic in some ways.

I thought about eve online.... but never got around to trying it... id probably go back to FFXI if i ever leave UO again.. but, hopfully if i leave UO its because my mind has finally grasped the concept that all these games are a waste of my time.. :-p

I've never figured out how to be gracefully humble without appearing weak.

Nor have I figured out how to be gracefully passionate without appearing arrogant.

In the end, I always seem to be arrogant and weak instead of humbly passionate.

*shudders*

Waste of time?!?! Youre starting to sound like my wife!

Honestly though, I Think when I started feeling like UO was a waste of time is when I decided to stop playing.

I was playing alot of Unreal Tournament right after and that didnt feel wasted at all...

Re: I guess it's ironic in some ways.

lol.. i stopped playing UO like 4 times.. and each time i came to the conclusion it was a remarkable waste of my time... it does give a certain amount of enjoyment and entertainment.. but for all practical purposes there are a lot of other things that my time could be spent doing..

Re: I guess it's ironic in some ways.

People will get tired of any game they play. A big part of the the gaming world is up to the player.

Ive had some friends tell me they are bored of the game. When asked "What do you do in the game?", I usually get a reply like "I craft" or "I do tmaps" or "I pvp".... but thats it. To really enjoy a game, you have to explore every avenue the game offers... even some you think you might not like.

EVE has ALOT of opportunities for enjoyment, like UO (though, UO has been around much longer and there are people who actually HAVE done everything in UO lol). All you have to do is use a lil bit of creativity to find them.
