Re: I can't do it...

you do what you can and have fun at it . i have never even seen a peerless in game , or grouped with anyone other than my wife , who plays some, and i love the game . if you dont want to group , do other things to make money , i have 120 BS , 120 Tailoring , 100 Bowcraft , 100 mining , 100 Inscription .....ect , i also do the ant queen quest for the bags of sending , powder of translocation and sell that , and crafted items , farm ogerlords and dragons . the game is what you make of it . plain and simple .

i started a new toon the other day , after reading these forums , a Samapire <sp> hes like 3 maybe 4 days old and i was killing oger lords with him last night . hes bad to the bone , and i will be looking for a guild with him i think , to go do some of the things i have not done yet.

but the point is , whatever you do , have fun with it . groups arent nessesary to have fun . but to do sertain things , they are required . there are TONS of things to do solo tho , and have fun doing it .

this game is addictive to me , i started playing about 1 year after it released , played just over 3 years and gave my account to my bro - inlaw , who sold all my rares and then sold all my gold and account on ebay . about 2 1/2 years ago i started over , played 7 months and went to wow , i just restarted here with my 7 month old account again abouyt a month ago . i just cant stay away ....lol!!!

P.S. while i am at it , as soon as i get Bushido to 100<94.5 atm> i will be looking for a guild on Atlantic if anyone is interested .

Re: I can't do it...

Just my 2-cents - First, excellent points made above Target. My wife and I have been playing this game for almost 9 years (can't wait for my polar bear). It is not like WoW and many other games with a pre-planned story line that you advance your character down. I have played those (WoW for 3 lvl60 characters, Guildwars etc). They are fun but the 2nd, 3rd, 4th time you run that storyline it is pretty boring. UO offers a completely open world for you to make of it what you will. I am still trying new skills and templates and find new ways to spend my time (currently trying out fishing with my treasure hunter). I am also always discovering new details in the game even after all these years. Like everyone else has said, Bedlam and other top level stuff was never meant to be solo'd. This is a good thing, in a fantasy world such as this there should be some stuff that can kick anyone's butt solo. I don't typically do much in groups except the peerless but so long as you help in obtaining the keys, they will bring you to the boss. Lady Melasinde (spelling?) is the one most people do. Bedlam, my wife and I can handle with either our 2 bards or her bard and my tamer, but would never attempt the boss with only us. I guess in short, the game has lots, and lots to offer and it is only what you make it. You still haven't said what shard you are on. I am on Atlantic and we actually have been hunting Bedlam a lot lately. If you are on atlantic stop down and look for Alyosha or Morgane. Goodluck, hope you stick with it. Even after this long, UO is still the game I always go back to.
