Sounds good. I would love to take theran in there and let him have some chew bones. And the horse in there owes Bihram a few deaths.

Re: I can't do it...

I don't think you said which shard you are on, but if you are on Lake Superior the group I play with would be happy to take you.

Just look for the XILD or UOA Guilds and we'll take ya through.

(We do it quite regularly)

Re: I can't do it...

Nobody can truly solo bedlam. Keys are time-consuming and dangerous to collect.

Gathering the keys for travesty solo is more realistic, though also quite dangerous.

Trav itself is probably the easiest to do with small numbers of people though.

Solo'ing paroxy is like writing your own death warrant from what I'm told. Haven't attempted due to the frustrated expressions people give me when I mention the place to begin with.

Solo'ing Mel (if you don't do anything about the Satyrs) is also suicide. Her eval and SS must be psychotic (around 180-200 eval/ss from my guess) to do the kind of damage she does. Keys are easy to get but do admittedly take a little time. Watch out for Abcess

Dread Horn is best for tamers, and 2/6 mages who can cast arch-cure quickly. Potions recommended, but I usually don't use them for PvM so I can't say as such.

Earthquake it to death.

As I've told you in previous posts, Chromatic, you can't easily solo these things. These are easily more difficult than the champs for fel spawns. Recommend you come down to Melissa in the Wisp dungeon and beat her up again.

Keep near the center area to let the paragon Bally's attack the Greater Drags instead of you.

Re: I can't do it...

Hm... I see. So it doesn't matter how tough you try to make your character, success is rare in all things UO. Blacksmithy? Bust your !!! on BODs and one day... one day you *might* get an agapite runic hammer, personally the best I've done is copper. Burn 1000s of ingots trying to get all the recipes and you'll probably never see a recipe for an artifact, and even if you do, you'll need ingredients from these impossibly hard peerless. Everything costs millions of gold and what's the point? It doesn't matter if you have all 120s, you'll still not be good enough. And if I'm supposed to sit around the bank like so many others, motionless and silent, waiting for something to happen, like some hunting event or whatever, well, I think I can find something better to do with my time. Maybe I'm just not getting what the point of this game is. I personally find no pleasure in failure and hopelessness. That is my *real* life, I'd prefer that my escape from reality be a little less like hell.

Well..since we've all had to start at the beginning in this game and work our way up...sounds as tho you want instafame/fortune/recogniton. This game does involve player activity..dont expect it to come to you chrome..go out a SEEK it! Thats what its about. Dont be a waiter...BE a do'er!! You may be surprised by the outcome if you instigate the hunts..ect..try it..you'll like it....

What I don't get is that various people offered to take you along to a peerless or two, yet you claim to have to wait at a bank or someplace else to get into a group hunt...

Not necessarily, consider my comparison to solo'ing peerlesses being difficult like trying to run a 20 or 50 man end-game difficulty instance in WoW with just one person. Granted, not that extravagant most of the time, but it follows the same general concept.

Success is truly subjective in this game, if you can have fun- you have attained success.

Groups are tantamount to success in the higher-end stuff in this game, and with them you and your group can accomplish anything.

Don't have a scribe? You're bound to meet at least one person who is a full-time scribe and loves nothing more but to create spells and spellbooks.

Don't have a full-time alchemist but need potions? I'm sure there's plenty mortar-grinding-madmen who are willing to assist!

The hammers do have a nice maximum intensity, copper and bronze are pretty good and make nice weapons (especially for the price).
I've made several beautiful diamond maces with dull copper, shadow, copper, and bronze runics.
BoD's are indeed tedious, and take a lot of patience and BoD-Trading with others to mix and match.

Do peerless in group. Get crimmy/set piece/ingredients. Sell.

Buy recipe/buy artifact. Rinse, repeat.

The best chance we've had in a long time for a constant stream of marties/ingreds/crimmies seems to be from Melissa in the wisp dungeon. If you can't 1v1 her, toss potions at her. They will get you looting rights.

Inflation. So items disproportiately fluctuated in value, and barbed kits went down from 5+ mil down to 2 mil.

Furthermore, when a single item you can pull from a peerless runs more than the sale price of an Ornament of the Magician or +20 Mage scroll, it's simple to amass gold/ingredients if you farm peerless in a group.

This makes it very easy to attain the things you speak of, as long as you work with your group as a unit, cross-heal, and protect the healers and tamers.
This long guiding principle has kept me alive, with friends, and gradually amassing modest amounts of gold.

It doesn't matter if you don't have all 120's. I still have 6xGM characters I opted to go 120 in the 7th skill with (tailor/parry warrior, for instance) that do just fine.

Also:
A 5xGM char with 2x110 (mage/necro/spellweaver) skills will also excel, without the use of 50+ mil in powerscrolls to do so.

I literally had to tote my necro-mage to fel champ spawns to gather the scrolls he has (with the exception of one, which I bought for 1 mil) and risk-vs-reward definitely shows its benefits in this aspect alone.

Younger accounts can, again, utilize items to supplement this (Scrapper's compendium, tome of enlightenment, skill jewels, skill+ spellbooks, ect) gap.

Items easily replace this gap (HCI and DCI for warriors parry and weaponskill; hit lower attack items, hit lower defense items, SDI for mages eval, mana regen items to supplement meditation or focus, ect).

Sounds to me, as if you speak of the AFK banksitters who may very well be there banksitting-off murder counts. Let them sit. They paid for sitting.

I offered up my suggestions and advice.

I even offered that you should come down to Melissa and take a few swings at her.

Nobody is a God in this game, and you may die, or you might meet a few people like me who can help you stay healed and not die.

The point is to go have fun! Do what makes you happy in the game! Don't go grinding out heartwood quests and BoD's if it upsets you when you don't get a recipe; because I know if I did that, I'd most certainly snap!

I personally don't trust the RNG to supply me with anything PvE can't, mainly because doing the heartwood/library/museum quests and BoD's drives me insane most of the time...

That's all for now.

Catch ya later.

Re: I can't do it...

Just so you know, that promised one mill is just bogus, you get a chest with stuff as reward.
I have soloed the bedlam perless and got the keys with my provoke tamer.
To be able to find Gnossos you run in with a precast inviss, if magery otherwise its really hard, and stops next to the house you dont need to get in and you can double click the name from outside while invissed.
