I am really desperate, can't patch

Kevin I think you need a big hug *HUGS*. I hope your able to fix it soon. When i'm desperate I always uninstall and reinstall

Also make sure your firewall & Norton (Dang you Norton) is allowing UO to patch. Every time I patch I have to re-allow UO.

Kevin1 if your wife's comp upgraded and your on a network. Copy the entire SE folder (except desktop) to your comp. Have it over write all files. You will be upgraded and good to go

I have done this before and it does work, It might be just as fast reinstalling if you have a slow network. If you keep getting the same problem, everytime it patches copy the whole folder on your own computer and rename it as a backup.

Have you gone in and cleaned out the patch folder? I've had to do that so it would even let me retry to patch.

I have tried all of that and it still will not go and my modem is not staying connected continually now I had to reformat and am now having more issues anyone have any ideas? would be greatly appreciated. I reformatted and am running windows XP Pro any info would be appreciated

A friend of ours recently re-installed the game and had this problem. He installed from an AoS disc. He uninstalled and downloaded ML, installed that and patched up with no problem.

Talking about his problem on irc, someone else said that there seemed to be a problem patching up from older versions.

Sorry guys I havent responded. I started a new job and been working 12 hours a day. I did get my UO fixed finally. I was going to reinstall windows but it said I could repair. I repaired it and it worked after that. However I now have no sound. The last time I had this problem I replaced my sound card and UO worked. So it seems to me maybe there is a problem with my sound card somehow interfering with UO. Anyone know why that would be??

You're repair install probably wiped your sound card drivers. Get your sound card install disk and reinstall the drivers, or go to the manufacturers website and get the latest drivers.
