Human or Elf?

So I'm looking to make a character to do the mining and lumberjacking for my crafter, but I'm having a hard time deciding between human and elf. Human was my first choice for the extra weight capacity and quicker gathering, but now I'm thinking that the elf bonus to finding special resources might be more useful down the road. Opinions?

Lol I ended up picking human. Also I read on stratics that you can change from a human to and elf with a somewhat easy heritage quest, is that still currently true? Would be nice if so, can use the human attributes early on and then switch over for the special resources later.

yup human to elf and elf to human. Easy to go elf to human.
