Huge prize giveaway on Baja this weekend

Hi everyone we are having a HUGE event Sunday 6-15-08 at 9:00 ct. It will be on the Baja Shard and we will be giving away close to 100 mil in prizes. This is part of Whispering Rose Radio’s one year anniversary.

What you have to do is create a character on Baja if you do not already have one. Tune into Whispering Rose Radio at 9:00 pm ct and listen to ‘Tazz & Keg’s Underground”. Gates will be provided at Luna Bank starting 30 min. prior to the event.

There will be over 40 million in gold given away and number of other prizes as well. If Baja is not your main shard don’t worry we will be able to transfer all items and gold to the shard of your choice.

I was very disappointed by the end of this event, there was supposed to be a drawing for everyone who had already won, for a possibility of 20mil additional. However, one of the DJ's dropped, and it was postponed a week, along with handing out the other half of the prizes, which they had not gotten to, due to technical difficulty. Kinda dis-enchanted that I have to spend another 2 hours waiting to find out if I won the other drawing. Hopefully we'll hear from Tazz about this, and he can clear it all up?

Well, I could understand the technical difficulties, (one thing I don't understand is them dropping from radio broadcast, since they work with Whispering Rose Radio, and I am assuming this organization has some quality experience in putting together a broadcast.) But the way it was handled was not the way I would have done it. They were all set to announce the winner of the last drawing, literally mere seconds from doing so, and Tazz dropped from the air. There was then no more word about what was going on, the best I could get from anyone was that the event would happen again next week. They just shut down the on-air portion of it, and never said anything about the drawing, and the other DJ's that were in-game seemed to be unable to help, as it was not their "bag" as it were.

I'm not bashing the radio station, I'm not bashing Tazz, I'm just saying that the situation was handled poorly, in my humble opinion, and all I really want now (besides a chance at that big prize) is some explanation as to how this is going to progress further.

I do appreciate the intent behind this function, I'm all about community events, and if they include prizes to peons such as me, hey all the better. So, thank you for giving this the old college try, but I would like to know how it is moving forward.
