Great, it is not a problem with not having New Haven, now I've found my way around it hehe

I have started playing on oceania as the ping is so good for me, but it is very quiet so I will see how it goes and use this time to learn the ropes again and if it is too quiet will change to Atlantic or LS.

Going the mage way what are the best skills to go for, and I cannot remember for the life of me what armor mages are best wearing.

So far though having so much fun just running around learning things again

Oceania is unfortunalety one of the emptier shards - hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

Mages best wear leather armour because the other won't allow them to meditate and thus replenish their mana. Metal and studded armour works too, but only if it's got the "mage armor" property.

For a good skill template I would look into the mage skill forum, but the essentials are:

Magery
Evaluating Intelligence
Meditation

I have discovered the mage forum now and have posted on there with a couple more questions hehe

I will stick with Oceania for now just to get back into the swing of things and then more than likely start afresh on a busier server once I know more about what the heck i am doing hehe

One more general question but what is the best way of raising str as it seems to be going up very slowly, and does str affect the amount you can carry?

Yes str effects how much you can carry. I would suggest mining or a melee skill to raise strength.
